The president is speaking at my school today, so half the parking lots are closed, including g the one I usually park in. I say again, thanks, Obama.

When Obama came to canada for his first visit here to Ottawa they closed Colonel By Drive. That's great, except my old neighbourhood had about 5 exits, 3 of which used Colonel By Drive.
What's that? You wanted to go downtown? LOL. Nope.

Both of the main streets outside of my school are closed. So I may be stuck here for the day.

Guess so. I used to live across from Canada's PM so I am used to the odd convoy delay, but when Obama came it was like all day it was terrible haha.

I just think it's funny that they aren't announcing when or which building he'll be speaking. Yet the roads are closed from 1-5 and only 1 building is surrounded by security. It's also funny that he's trying to appeal to people going to community college, and yet no students are allowed to attend.

Well take heart Sam, he'll be gone soon. I for one am looking forward to it. I had high hopes back in 08, but I won't be voting democrat again after all this.

He campaigned at least 70% with a slate of left-libertarian supported positions. As someone who supports a lot of right-libertarian positions, I had some hopes he'd at least govern toward the middle, though I suspected otherwise due to his Illinois record and didn't vote for him. PESSIMISM, YOU WIN AGAIN

I voted for him in 08, but by 12 i knew better than to try again. Obama's crusade against ex patriots is egregious.

I'll refrain from posting a condensed summary of bile, because that shit would be like 20 paragraphs. This is the wrong forum, and ain't nobody got time for that.

In the words of Obama (as of yesterday), 'Get off your high horse'.
Seriously, that man has F'ed up my commute so many times this is no surprise.

When Obama comes to town it's epic. In 2012, my wife and I were living on campus and Obama stopped by our city. We lived in an apartment that looked out over the football field, the football field they parked in. When I say he parked I mean to say they parked the presidents helicopter and three Blackhawk helicopters. I was at work when they trundled in but my wife said it was like being on a battle field. When they left, holy goodness, one at a time these Blackhawk copters took off right in front of us. Not really doing it justice here, but it was epic.

Downtown. It's easier to get the press set up, since most of their offices are nearby.
